Very wise! I find the older I get, the less certain I am that I know much of anything for sure. Or that anyone else does, for that matter. Spending time really trying to grasp how other people see things is really magical, both in terms of the joy of interacting and in terms of learning new ways of seeing, even if they don't stick. But communicating like that is not easy.
I hear ya. I think communication asks of us to genuinely listen - it is by listening we can hear the heart behind the words - the why, the hopes, fears that will afford each other the gift of being heard, and also, so we can speak to what the real issues are.
I think we stretch towards love not because it's easy or a box full of puppies. I think we stretch towards love because it makes beautiful, or said another way, it inspires flourishing and wholeness.
