I have an essay in there too that I hope you'll read. I had about given up on prayer when I started looking into both PT and ORT, and they renewed my faith in prayer.

I was reminded of the story of Joseph in Genesis. The things that happen to him--sold into slavery by his brothers, then into prison--all evil; betrayal by his brothers, who hated him. Then when he is confronted by his brothers, who fear vengeance, he reassures them: "You meant it for evil, but God meant it for God." God was working in and through it, seeking to bring about blessing. "God is at work in all things, to bring about good." But God does not *bring about* all things. God did not intend cancer, fascism, the holocaust. But God seeks to bring about good, luring humans and Creation forward.
